The Comb Collective: An Intro to Beekeeping
Curious about what it takes to become a beekeeper? 🐝
Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop that invites you into the fascinating world of honey bees and hive care. You’ll learn how to start your own apiary, what bees need to thrive, and the essentials of mindful, sustainable beekeeping.
The class begins at 9:00 AM and runs for approximately three hours. We’ll start indoors with an engaging overview of bee behavior, tools, and setup, then suit up to explore a live hive inspection. Together, we’ll identify worker bees, drones, and—if we’re lucky—the queen herself! You’ll also learn to recognize capped honey, brood, pollen, eggs, and larvae, gaining confidence to begin your own beekeeping journey.
Time: 3:30PM-6PM
