ABOUT THE COMB COLLECTIVE
The Comb Collective’s primary mission is to provide environmental education and promote pollinator conservation through accessible, community-based programming.
The Comb Collective conducts educational workshops, youth programming, and hands-on training focused on beekeeping, pollinator health, and sustainable agriculture. These activities are designed to increase public understanding of environmental stewardship, biodiversity, and food systems.
In furtherance of its charitable purpose, the organization provides resources and mentorship to individuals who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities. Programs are offered with an emphasis on serving underserved and historically marginalized communities.

The Comb Collective offers a unique, community-centered approach to beekeeping education by combining hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world opportunity. We emphasize accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that individuals from underserved communities can participate in and benefit from agricultural education. Through intentional programming, we connect participants not only to knowledge, but to networks, markets, and ongoing support that extend beyond the classroom.

Apis Mellifera University
Apis Mellifera University is an advanced, community-centered learning program by The Comb Collective designed for teens, adults, and aspiring growers seeking deeper knowledge in beekeeping, regenerative agriculture, and food systems. Through immersive, hands-on training, participants gain practical experience in hive management, land stewardship, and sustainable business practices rooted in real farm operations. The university also serves as a pathway to entrepreneurship and environmental leadership, equipping learners with the tools, mentorship, and resources to build their own ventures and impact their communities.
Apis Mellifera Academy
Apis Mellifera Academy is a hands-on educational program by The Comb Collective designed specifically for children, introducing them to beekeeping, urban agriculture, and environmental stewardship through real hive experience. Students learn how pollinators support food systems while building confidence, practical skills, and a deeper connection to land and community. The academy also provides access to equipment and mentorship, creating early pathways into agriculture and sustainability.
